CURRENT USERS: What do I need to know?
If you’ve been participating in ATHN, we thank you for helping lay the groundwork for expanded, statewide access to telemental health. Your partnership has been invaluable. Moving forward, you no doubt have questions as to how to maintain service levels. The FAQs to follow should answer your questions.

How long will I continue to have access to the ATHN platform?
The transition to new platforms will take place over a period of weeks. All current users are encouraged to download information stored in the system by March 31, 2022, to allow time for a smooth transition to a permanent solution.

While you will have access to the platform until this pilot program closes on April 30, 2022, you will want to allow enough time to transfer any data needed from the current platform to your permanent telehealth solution.

How do I export my stored data and information from the current ATHN platform?

Click here for instructions on how to export your patient data and information.

How do I make the transition to a new platform?
You will need to identify another telehealth solution, one that works best for you. To help you make that decision, VTN conducted research in partnership with telehealth consulting firm Blue Cirrus to compile a list of telehealth vendors that meet the needs of providers. Click here to see those recommendations for your consideration.

MATRC has also created a comparison of telehealth products designed specifically for telehealth providers. You can find that link here.

The ATHN platform you have been using is a product of Adaptive Telehealth. To learn more about Adaptive Telehealth’s platform pricing and features, please contact Jo Ann Dinwoodie at joannd@adaptivetelehealth.com.

Make sure that you request all data and the information you need from the ATHN platform (including contact and product information) to help with the transition.

How do I communicate this transition to my existing patients?
As we make the transition beyond the ATHN, you likely have questions about what this change means for your patients. Be sure to communicate with them regarding upcoming appointments, and alert them that appointment scheduling and reminders will be sent from your new telehealth solution.

If your patient is in need of immediate behavioral and mental health care services during the transition phase, be sure to share with them a list of resources here.

Can I sign up for regular updates during this transitional period?
Absolutely. We’d encourage you to sign up here to our mailing list so that we can email you with the most recent information on the transition.

Who can I contact with other questions?
If you have questions, comments or concerns regarding the new pilot or closing of ATHN, please contact Shannon Cody at shannon@ehealthvirginia.org.
